The Building

What does the studio look like when you pull in?

A single-storey storefront with a brown standing-seam roof, a cobalt bench under the windows and its own paved lot. The sign above the glass carries the tree mark and the phone number, so the building says its own name before you have finished reading the house number.

Kline's Dairy Bar is the landmark. The studio sits about a block north of it on Greenville Avenue — US-11, Staunton's main south-side commercial corridor — and about a quarter of a mile south of the Statler Boulevard junction. The lot runs the width of the property, so there is room to turn up five minutes early.

The Work

What can you book at Healing Touch Body Work?

There are 28 bookable services in 4 families: massage, the signature rituals, sessions for two, and skin, lash and brow work.

If none of the names on the menu describes what your back is doing, book the Custom Massage — it is built in the first five minutes of conversation and can hold Swedish-style flow, deeper focused work on one area, or a few minutes of assisted stretching. Choosing a session for a tight back goes through the same decision at length, and what to expect at a first massage covers the parts nobody mentions in advance: the intake form, the draping and how early to turn up.

Massage

Swedish, deep tissue, Thai combination, Traditional Chinese Tuina, lymphatic-style and prenatal, plus the custom hour most first visits start with. Pressure is a dial you keep hold of the whole session — say the word and it lightens on the next stroke.

Signature rituals

Hot stone, reflexology, cupping, the Detox & Ear Candling Ritual, ear candling with neck massage, the Glow exfoliation and the Therapeutic Bliss hour. Several of the longer massage sessions on the menu include the smooth heated stones at no extra charge.

Sessions for two

Couples Massage puts two tables in one room and includes heated stones for both. Duo Massage books the same hour in two private rooms, which is the right call when one of you wants firm work and the other wants to fall asleep.

Skin, lash and brow

A licensed esthetician works alongside the bodywork team: nine facials from a half-hour cleanse to diamond microdermabrasion, traditional and UV lash extensions and fills, lash lifts and tints, brow shaping, tinting and lamination, and facial and body waxing.

Add-ons attach to a booked massage — heated stones, essential oils, hot towels, Thai stretching, cupping, gua sha, dry brushing and reflexology among them. Two carry rules: the reflexology add-on must accompany a massage, and exfoliation needs a session of 60 minutes or longer.

The Difference

Why do people keep coming back to this studio?

Because the session gets built in conversation. Every client completes a short health intake form before a first visit, the first five minutes decide what the hour does, and the pressure can change halfway through without anyone taking it personally.
