About three hours. Every full set on this menu — Classic, Hybrid, Volume and Mega Volume, traditional or UV-cured — is booked at 180 minutes, because each extension is placed onto one natural lash at a time, and a Volume fan is several extensions per lash.

Three hours is also why a first appointment is worth splitting in two: the Lash Consultation is half an hour and $52.50, and it settles the style before the long booking goes in the diary. It is optional, and the full set can be booked on its own.

Three hours is worth planning the drive around

838 Greenville Avenue is on US-11, Staunton's main south-side commercial corridor, a block north of Kline's Dairy Bar — single storey, with its own parking lot. About 11 minutes from Verona, 13 from Fishersville, 18 from Waynesboro. The address is on the even, west side of the road, so an approach from the south has the door on the left.

How many extensions go onto each natural lash. Classic puts one extension on one lash. Volume fans several finer extensions onto each one. Hybrid mixes the two along the lash line, and Mega Volume is the same fanning technique taken denser and finer still.

The four are priced in that order, from $159, and all four are the same 3 hour booking — a Volume set is finer work in the same three hours. The whole ladder sits on the lash section of the full menu.

If you would rather not wear extensions at all

A lash lift curls the lashes you already have and a tint darkens them — no adhesive, no fills, nothing to maintain in three weeks. Lash Lift & Tint is $89.25 for 60 minutes, a tint on its own is $57.98, and Eyelash Glazing and the Lash Lift Refresher are both $65.

Where the adhesive sets. A traditional lash adhesive cures in the air around it, so the room's humidity is part of the equation; a UV adhesive cures under a light instead, which makes the bond less sensitive to a Virginia August.

Everything else holds: the same four styles, the same 180 minute booking, the same fill schedule. What moves is the price, by about one rung — a UV Classic set and a traditional Hybrid set are the same number to the cent, and so are a UV Hybrid and a traditional Volume. UV sets start at $185.

Which line to ask about in August

Humidity is the menu's own stated reason for the UV line, so August is when the question is worth asking out loud. Both lines run all year, and both are applied by the same esthetician in the same room.

Every two to three weeks. That is the interval the booking page names, and it is what keeps a set looking like the week it went on — a fill replaces the extensions that have grown out on the natural lashes they were attached to.

Fills are priced by lash style, not by how many are missing, and a fill is a fraction of a full set: $78.75 for a Classic fill against $159 for a Classic set. Ask at the full-set appointment which end of that window suits yours.

Two rows worth a phone call

There is no UV Mega Volume fill on the menu. That full set sells at $265, but the fill list stops at UV Volume, so call or text (540) 290-3383 before your fill week and we will tell you what to book. Hybrid Fill is the other one: it appears on both fill menus at two prices, $89.50 on the traditional side and $89.25 on the UV side. Book it from the menu matching the set you wear.

Book the Lash Extension Removal — half an hour, $52.95, and the set comes off in one appointment instead of over a fortnight at home.

If you are stopping rather than switching

A removal takes the set off and leaves your own lashes bare. If you want something in their place with no fill schedule attached, the lift and tint is on the same menu page.

Brows are the obvious companion, and lamination sets the hairs upward so a sparse brow reads fuller without any pigment at all.
